Man makes the switch to an electronic Custody and Control Form (eCCF)

Simplifying your drug testing process has never been easier than switching to electronic Custody and Control Forms (eCCF). With so many employees working from home during the COVID-19 health emergency, there is no better time to make the transition to paperless drug testing. eCCF is the digital version of the traditional, five-part paper Custody and Control Form — the document used for drug test ordering, specimen collection processing, and chain of custody documentation for workforce drug testing. It documents the external specimen chain of custody — i.e., the handling of the drug test specimen from the time it is collected until it is received at the laboratory.

Learn more about eCCF from our comprehensive case study.

With eCCF, collection sites no longer need the manual entry process using paper forms. eCCF allows employers to track the drug testing process in real time, and helps to reduce errors, decrease collection site flaws, mitigate paper waste, and streamline efficiencies throughout the drug testing process.

How does eCCF work?

eCCF is designed to improve an employer’s drug testing process and to make collections faster and more efficient. eCCF is available for all regulated and non-regulated urine, oral fluid, and hair drug tests from Quest Diagnostics as well as Express Results™ Online. It works with Quest Diagnostics systems, various Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and third-party administrator ordering programs. Additionally, we have optimized our Collection Site Locator to provide the option of choosing eCCF-enabled collection sites based on your preferences.
