In a profession where the consequences of impaired driving can be catastrophic, carriers depend on testing to help ensure that drivers are drug-free. Hair testing helps in this regard as it tends to provide a greater number of positive results when compared to urine because of its longer detection window and a tendency to be difficult to tamper or adulterate.
