Quest Diagnostics Incorporated, the world’s leading provider of diagnostic testing, information and services, today announced that it has again been selected to be part of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Indexes and North America Indexes (DJSI World and DJSI North America). The company is in its seventh year on the World Index (since 2004) and in its sixth on the North American Index (since 2005).
The annual review is based on a thorough analysis of corporate economic, environmental and social performance, assessing issues such as corporate governance, risk management, branding, climate change mitigation, supply chain standards and labor practices. It accounts for general as well as industry specific sustainability criteria for each of 58 sectors defined according to the Industry Classification Benchmark.
“We are proud to be included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the seventh consecutive year,” said Surya N. Mohapatra, Ph.D., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Quest Diagnostics. “This achievement highlights our commitment to the communities in which we live, our employees’ health and well being, and protecting the environment.”
