Quest Diagnostics has been quite successful in this year’s various rankings by the major financial press. Fortune Magazine’s annual ranking of the 500 largest U.S. companies was released in April and Quest Diagnostics moved up to number 303 from number 341 last year. The Fortune 500 ranking is based purely on revenues. We ranked number 15 among all Fortune companies for Ten-Year Total Return to Shareholders, based on an average annual rate of 23.5 percent.
In the Forbes Global 2000, we advanced to number 731, from number 777 in 2009. The Forbes Global 2000 are the biggest companies in the world, ranked according to a composite score based on revenues, profits, assets and market value.
And most recently, in the Barron’s 500, we ranked number 160. This list ranks the 500 largest public companies in the U.S. and Canada based on cash flow return on investment (CFROI).
