Hurricane Florence has begun its siege across the Southeast U.S. This category 2 storm brings wind gusts of up to 70 mph, flash flooding, and potentially dangerous storm surges. The National Weather Service reported that the eye of the storm was located approximately 145 miles from of Wilmington, North Carolina early Thursday.

Laboratory testing, although not located in the Carolinas, may be impacted due to delays in shipping of drug test specimens from that region. Additionally, Patient Service Centers in affected coastal areas may be closed or will close in advance of the storm. Please check ahead and reschedule using our website QuestDiagnostics.com/appointment. Reopening will be based on local conditions.

Stay safe and heed local notices and weather warnings.
