 Synthetic Cannabinoids, Bath Salts and other Legal Highs

Dr.Barry Sample, Director of Science and Technology presented a webinar entitled “What Employers need to know about “Synthetic Cannabinoids, Bath Salts and other Legal Highs.”

As an “alternative” drug of abuse, synthetic marijuana has gained increasing media attention of late. It goes by many names –K2, Spice, synthetic marijuana and others. However, while the chemicals in these substances target the same receptors, and produce a euphoric high similar to marijuana/THC, it is important to note that these chemicals are engineered and not organic.
